Assistant Producer Intern | Atypicalfilms (Mar 2026 – Nov 2026)

During my internship, I gained hands-on experience supporting commercial and branded content productions across various stages of the production process. My responsibilities included creative research, talent casting, wardrobe sourcing, shot logging and on-set production support. Working alongside industry professionals strengthened my communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments. The experience gave me valuable insight into professional production workflows and the collaborative effort required to bring creative ideas to life. It also broadened my understanding of the media industry and reinforced my passion for storytelling and creative production.

Role: Talent Casting Support & Shot Logger

Supported the casting process by organising audition tapes and preparing talent presentation materials for director review. Assisted on set as a Shot Logger, documenting shot details, director notes, and identifying preferred takes for post-production. As my first professional production experience, the project provided valuable exposure to production workflows, on-set communication, and performance evaluation during filming.

Role: Shot Logger

Supported the production of a cinematic film created for the RSAF Museum launch, which showcased the organisation's contributions and served as a recruitment call-to-action. As the Shot Logger, I coordinated closely with the director, cinematographer, and offline editor to document shot details, track preferred takes, and ensure accurate shot referencing throughout the production process. Working on a larger-scale production exposed me to a more complex workflow and strengthened my communication, organisation, and on-set coordination skills.

Role: Pre-Production Support & Production Assistant

Supported pre-production through wardrobe sourcing, purchasing, location recce, and creative visualisation. Collaborated with fellow interns to develop and demonstrate scene transitions, helping the agency and clients better visualise the execution of the final video. On shoot day, assisted as a Production Assistant, supporting on-set operations, client hospitality, and production logistics to ensure the shoot ran smoothly.
